Writing inspired by God has the power to transform lives. As faith-based writers, we are called to write not only from inspiration but from revelation—those moments when God’s voice becomes clear, guiding our words and purpose. In this article, we’ll explore how to tune into God’s voice and write with divine purpose.

Recognizing Inspiration vs. Revelation

Inspiration is the spark—those initial moments of creativity that stir our hearts. Revelation, however, is God’s whisper. It’s deeper, more specific, and divinely timed. Be attentive to moments when God’s Word illuminates your writing, giving you insights and clarity that go beyond your own understanding.

Staying Open to God’s Guidance

Keep a journal nearby to capture thoughts and ideas as they come. Sometimes, the Holy Spirit speaks in unexpected ways—during prayer, while you’re on a walk, or in quiet moments of reflection. Staying open to God’s guidance helps you recognize these divine insights and incorporate them into your work.

Documenting Moments of Divine Insight

Reflect on times when God has moved in your life—whether through Scripture, prayer, or personal experiences. These moments of revelation are powerful and can enrich your book, providing inspiration for readers and allowing your words to carry divine weight and meaning.

Take Action

Deepen your connection with God’s voice as you write using the $27 “Write Your Chapter” course. This course will help you identify and capture divine inspiration, ensuring your writing is aligned with God’s will.
